Over more than 10 years of partnership with Juist in the Dutch market, we have maintained one valuable tradition — meeting in person several times a year.
And almost every time, we talk not only about projects or future plans, but about the partnership itself: what works well, where we face challenges, and how we can become better partners to one another.
These are the conversations that help partnerships stand the test of time.
This time, one of the main topics was security.
As Juist recently obtained ISO 27001 certification, they also carried out a security audit of our own processes and procedures. The insights were genuinely valuable, and we identified several areas we plan to improve in the near future.
Audits like these are useful not just “for the certificate.” They help organizations identify weaker points before they become actual problems. In the past, we used to advise clients on which security aspects deserved closer attention. Today, clients increasingly ask not only what you will build, but also how you manage access controls, processes, infrastructure, backups, and incident response.
The regulatory environment is also adding momentum. The Cyber Resilience Act will begin to take effect from next year, meaning security will no longer be a matter of preference or simply a best practice. It will become a legal requirement. If you want to develop and provide digital products or services, you will need to ensure an appropriate level of cybersecurity.
We will return to this topic soon.
